Training of Trainers’ (TOT) Workshop on “Learning to Live with Diversity”
– University of Peradeniya

The Workshop titled “Learning to live with Diversity” was held at the SDC Auditorium of the University of Peradeniya on Friday, February 16. It was conducted by three resource persons, Prof. Hemamali Gunathilaka (University of Sri Jayawardenapura), Prof. Prabha Manuratne (University of Kelaniya) and Dr. Dushan Jayawickrama (University of Sri Jayawardenapura). The Workshop is an initiative of the Centre for Gender Equity and Equality (CGEE) of the UGC and was facilitated by the Sexual or Gender-Based Harassment and Sexual Violence Prevention Committee (SGBVC) of the University of Peradeniya. The participants, forty in all, were drawn from the nine faculties of the University. The Workshop, as the title indicates, is an attempt to raise awareness among the university community regarding the many determiners of diversity amongst us and to embrace diversity in order to create a more conducive environment for working and learning in the University for everyone in our midst.
